It's party time

Hi everyone,

Wow it has been a while since I have blogged. Don't worry though I have been busy creating so hopefully I will be able to update my blog with more posts over the coming days.

Today I took DD4 to a Birthday Party. This is only the second party that she has been to without her big sister. Although the party was a Tinker Bell/fairy party - DD4 wanted me to make a card with Pony Party - so here it is. I have to say I loved the way it turned out but the cutting out was rather a pain. If you look closely you may be able to see some Dazzling Diamonds on the wing and hooves - what little girl doesn't like some bling?

Materials Used:
Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Pony Party
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand
Other: Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, 1/4" Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots.
Non SU!: Classic Heart Nestabilites and Classic Scallop Heart Nestabilities.

Thanks for looking.

Easel Calender Box

Hi everyone,

I have finally finished my idea for my project class for this month. Not an original idea and I actually made one of these last year (see here) but I thought I would make it square this time. I enjoy playing with 3D items and trying to work out sizing myself rather than following someone else's pattern or tutorial - so the sizing for this is all my own.

Here is a more side on view.

I am running this class this Tuesday (25th Jan) and Thursday (27th Jan) from 7.30pm. If you are interested in attending please contact me. Cost is $15 but includes a typed tutorial with lots of pictures so that you can make some more of these if you want. Remember you don't have to have a small calender to keep the easel card in place - a sentiment or even a brad will work just as well. So contact me to book your spot.

Thanks for looking.

Silhouette Sentiments and the Flood Appeal

Hi everyone,

I thought I would pop by with a bit of news. Naturally all of us have been devastated by what has happened since the beginning of this year to Queensland and is now happening in Victoria. I can't begin to imagine the heartbreak that these floods have brought. Stampin' Up! have announced that they will be donating $2 for every stamp set that is purchased that is $30.00 or over to the flood appeal. Now I know that a lot of you have already donated but this is another way for you to do so. This is from now until the 15th March. Contact me to place your order.

I thought I would also show some of the cards that we will be making this week at my Stamp A Stack classes that are on Wednesday and Thursday evening. If you would like to attend contact me to book your spot. Cost is $25 or $20 if you use your own adhesive and you get to make 8 cards in total - the 4 that are below and another 4 which will be baby cards.

Thanks for looking.

Another Baby Card

Hi everyone,

Well I have to say it is hard to be creative when there is such devastation happening to our Northern cousins in Queensland and Northern NSW. My heart goes out to you all. They say that 75% of Queensland is or has been under water. To put things into perspective for any readers who don't know the size of Australia, that is equivalent to an area from the United Kingdom to Venice in Italy - a huge area of land. It is just mind boggling how big an area that is. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

After saying that it seems trivial to post a card - but sometimes the trivial may help. I have made this card for two reasons - one is for Mary Jo Price's sketch over at Techno Stamper and the other is that this is one of my Baby cards for my Stamp A Stack next week.

Here is Mary Jo's Sketch

Here is my take on it.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Baby Bundle, Short & Sweet.
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Pear Pizzazz DSP
Ink: Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron
Other: 3/4" Circle Punch, Blender Pen, Scallop Trim Punch, 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Glue Dot's Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking.
