Day Twenty Five of my Countdown to Christmas

Hi everyone,

Well here we are Day Twenty Five - so this means it is Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas to you and your families and a Happy and Safe 2011.

My last project is based on my Christmas card that I sent out this year. Once again a very simple card and easy to reproduce. I have once again not used a Christmas set - which is rather funny as I appear to own nearly everyone Christmas sent in the catalogue.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes, Perfect Punches
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red,  Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi, Real Red
Other: 1 3/4" Circle Punch,  1 3/8" Circle Punch,  1 1/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals, 5/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon.

Thanks for looking.

'Til next time.

Day Twenty Four of my Countdown to Christmas

Hi everyone,

When I was checking through my projects and ideas I realised that I didn't have a card of just Dasher!!! How could I make it through my countdown without including Dasher (OK he was included in my Christmas tags but not by himself). So here he is. Once again a very plain but easy card (the way I like it) and guess what no Big Shot used at all!!!

I have put him on a base of Crumb Cake and the lovely Vintage Brad is from my brand new stash that my Secret Santa from ESAD sent me!!!

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Dasher, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Jolly Holiday DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Other: Old Olive 1 1/4" Stripped Grosgrain Ribbon, Vintage Brads, Dimensionals.

Thanks for looking.

'Til next time,

Day Twenty Three of my Countdown to Christmas

Hi everyone,

Only two more sleeps until the Big Fella dressed in Red either climbs down your chimney or through your door using the magic key you and your kids have left out for him... This means that we are going away for today for Christmas but thanks to post dating I will still be able to show you day 24 and day 25 anyway.

Today I have a few gift card holders to show you. Now these have been doing the rounds in blog land for a while and I can't remember where I got the initial ideas from so I am very sorry if it is you and I have not given you credit. If this is the case email me and I will update my post to give credit where it is due.

Here are the three gift card holders I have made and below will be individual photos of them.

The first one is a 'present' gift card holder - so very easy to make and looks very effective - I know I have used retired Ski Slope DSP but I have so much of it and it is a shame not to use it!!!

Here it is with the gift card inside.

Next is a Christmas Bauble or card if you like.

And once again here it is open with the gift card inside.

Lastly here is one that can also double up as a card and you just slot the gift card in the middle.

And the gift card inside it.

What is really cool with these gift card holders is that you can adapt them for anytime of the year.

Thanks for looking.

'Til next time,

Day Twenty Two of my Countdown to Christmas

Hi everyone,

Today I have a couple of 'baskets' for you to either put chocolates, lollies or even a small gift in. The first one is a basket created using the Pillow Box die. There is a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers and you can find it here. My basket is a CASE from Christie Wallace. I forgot to add the extra bit of white for Santa's fir but I think you can forgive me can't you?

The second basket is also from Splitcoaststampers and you can find the tutorial here. I made mine using a sheet of 12 X 12 and it makes a really big basket. If you want to make one smaller then that is easy - just remember to score your card stock into equal thirds so that you get 9 squares or it won't work!!!
Thanks for looking.

Day Twenty One of my Countdown to Christmas

Hi everyone,

Only 5 sleeps until the big one!!! Here is Day 21. A very simple card. There are a few out there in blog land like this one but I like it and I have finally inked up a stamp from the Summer Mini. The funny thing is I got this stamp in pre-order - just one of the perks of being a demonstrator - and it only saw ink today - very sad.

Yes - Cherry Cobbler is back again but I do love it's rich colour. It is times like this though that I wish I had bought the square lattice embossing folder - but I will have to wait until next year before I can afford it.

Materials Used: All Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Baroque Motifs, Itty Bitty Bits, Occasional Quotes
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler
Other: Bitty Buttons, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack, Glue Dots.

Thanks for looking.
